Sorry I was in a super hurry and turned off my computer!
So about vestimentary behaviours of senegalese girl: according to me I can say that that is due to a fact of imitation to their favorite western countries stars or artists.
And from the other hand , I can say that some girls wears really indescent clothes just to be trendy and to look attractive which is not always the case, as if you see a heavy girl wearing a tight skirt and top.
Personally, as even a teenager, I'm not so fascinated to really trendy and sexy clothes. I mean my way of clothing is usually jeans, baggies, skirts, sweatshirts, african dress, normal tops of a normal girl in my age. It's just that I'm really concerned about myself because some people judge you in the way you cloth yourself and so, one should wear really descent clothes that suits him or her...

Well let me take the example of underdeveloped country such as Sierra-Leone. In such a case, a better way to improve its development it's just knowledge from the inhabitants or the population. I mean that Sierra Leone has so many good soil resources such as oil but they are not using for their benefit. And therefore, it's the western hemisphere countries like the U.S who come and use it to empower and empower their endless power.
I think that it's a pity and a kind of selfishness from those westerns.
Another example for a country's development would be a true and a really good patnership from all 3rd world countries!

    Hi,
Here I am finally and I'll try to give you, summarily of course, some reasons of the poverty in which developing countries are rushing into and solutions which seem to me as being appropriate. When I speak about poor countries, I will refer mainly to Africa.

Bad governorship, corruption, bad management, the list is long, without forgetting colonialism of course, slavery and neocolonialism form doubtless part of what made the delay of the majority of the poor countries. Then, the solutions, to stop poverty, would be those of eradicating these phenomena which undermine our societies.

Africa must also make sure that more students choose scientific studies, because the part of the continent in scientific research is 2% only. For that purpose, governments, universities, the civil society, the media, the private sector, must play thoroughly their partition.

The idea of the 2006 Nobel Prize of peace is not either bad to fight against poverty in the Third World countries.
Mr. Yunus and his Grameen Bank which he set up in 1976 with only 27 US dollars, showed that micro-credit, granting small loans to too poor contractors to have access to the traditional bank loans can be an effective and popular weapon in the world fight against poverty.

I believe very firmly that Europeans must leave quiet Africa. They must cease plundering it and imposing their imperfect models to it. Africans are able to improve themselves their living conditions, without the assistance of anybody.

    I'm ready!
But we got to find a subject...
I know, I read on some other sites people who want to live in Senegal. Then you have others who react like "Nooo are you crazy? All you'll got are problems! Just stay where you are and everything'll be fine" What do you think about this? Is that such a bad idea for a toubab to go and live in Senegal?
I can figure out that senegalese people aren't fair with us (at least concerning affairs), but up to this point?

What a Face Is there anyone here???

There are more people willing to talk in Italian than in English!!

    How is it possible??

    Anyway,

I am very curious to know about you all, so if you could introduce yourself in English that would be cool, I mean describe your current studies if you are student, or your job if you already work. That would be a great way to know about you and acquire some particular vocabulary in the business domain.

    Thanks!

Hi sweet girl pleased to meet you here.

Just let me know, to be a 12 grader means you are 12 years old, doesn't it?
If so, you are very ambitious, wih you the best thou. I've heard the diplomatic world is quite difficult to enter, anyway when a young motivated woman and also talented comes there is no way to refuse her!

Have you ever traveled in an English speaking country?

I am also very interested in languages, I wish I could learn Portuguese Arabic, Hindi and perfect my English. But do you think there is enough time to handle all this, knowing I want to marry, raise kids and still work??
There are so many things to doooo!

What would you like to complete before you become too old to act? (I mean, except to be a very good singer rétaane)

    Are you guys all busy?
Well I wish you a happy fete de Maouloud. May God bless you and your families.
Rapariga to be a 12 grader is the equivalent of being "en terminale" in the french educational system. In some countries you only have 12 years instead of 13 like we do of education from primary school to the last year of highschool. So I believe this is her 12th and last year and hopefully she is getting ready to graduate and move on to college.
    God bless!

I believe very firmly that Europeans must leave quiet Africa. They must cease plundering it and imposing their imperfect models to it. Africans are able to improve themselves their living conditions, without the assistance of anybody

This is a "romantic" vision of the world... but the truth is that by now nobody in the world can work and progress alone. "Globalization" obliges in a sense all the Countries in the world to depend mutually.

What we have to work for is creating a global equitable and interdependent market. Africa needs serious investments and serious partners interested in investing in the country, but these investments must have equitable and fair trade economic bases. These investments must create solid bases for an economy that doesn't watch only to the profit but first of all to ethical and social aspects.

After centuries of colonialization and exploitation, after centuries of holdups, tortures of every kind with which all the world has stolen, treaded on, tricked, defrauded Africa... we cannot say now "let africa alone to solve its own problems"!

We cannot throw someone in the sea with a stone tied to his neck and then say to him "Now swim!"

I don't know. She's probably busy shakin' the money maker héhé
Senexol, you are absolutely right. I do believe that a lot of the exploitation does not come without some type of "cooperation" or "collaboration" if you will, from local powers who readily sell themselves and their people for whatever cash money or advantages they can get for them only their families. This being said, another thing is important. Education. And we have big issues with that. The brain drain, a lot of our scientists and intellectual elite either settle in other countries or are "intellectually" absent from the socio-political scene. People can be aware of the problems but they need a voice, and it's hard to bring change if you do not know how and do not have the tools you need to defend yourself. So public riots and manifestations usually don't go very far in terms og being agents of change and moving things along. The popular opinions should be able to be thought of and carried in an reasonable, intelligent and practical manner up to the hills of the power. That is why legislative chambers are for. Mais si les deputes aren't doing their job or representing the people and suggesting, proposing bills that can enhance the way that people live, enforce penalties for corruptions and frauds and give a judiciary and executive frame to socio-economic activities, then obviously you have less people who are willing to put their money in a place where they don't have protection from the legal system (investors), where anybody does whatever in public universities and schools, scholarship are given to people you know, job are given to people you know (not who deserve it) etc etc. It is vicious cercle. And it seems that people wanna change everything until they get up there where they realize they get more sun than the crowd down there and the piece of cake can get bigger if they act like the other corrupted folks!
    Not much hope is there?
Maybe we can do something at a personal and individual level but it takes millions of individual wills to move things in a stronger way!

    hi dear ones!!!

bounce I was out there far too long

Hodei lately I have been busy and to tell the truth I have been desperating about wolof pale I feel I will never make it pale Anyway I will insist and try to improve, if only I took the time to.

SO, now that I am back right here, let me introduce myself rétaane

I am 24, and I took back my studies in 2007 after having worked for 4 years in banks (no no we are not always well paid in banks) so now I have to study 2 more years in management and financial analysis in order to earrrrrn more money than possible Love1
    LOL
Otherwise I do practise some sport (if fitness can be considered as sport Smile ), I like languages also, and my professional ambition is to move to London at least for a few months (I love this city)... I like knitting rétaane and seing friends. I love cabo verdian & angolan music, but I am ecclectic too...

I think I have told enough about me.

Concerning the debate above about european in africa, I deeply think things must me done. I mean, Africa can be stronger than it currently is. It is a shame, because Africa has a lot of brains working in Europe or in the Usa. The thing is that if african politicians stopped taking advantage of their own country european countries would not be as powerful as they may be today.
If african intellects were more present in the political scene, this would be a problem for politician themselves because they would be threaten by the loss of the benefits they take from their transactions with european countries.

The question is: is this situation improvable? African people out of their countries should gather and work on this, and change the political horizon. Youth is hope rétaane
